Keith Kondakor is very angry that the planned medical centre for Weddington was cancelled by a sub-committee of the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) in secret, without any consultation, in October 2024. Way back in 2011, when the first developments were proposed on Weddington road it was clear that we needed a new medical centre and the independent planning inspector agreed that land, on what is now the Churchfields site, should be given to the NHS free, for that purpose. Other developments in the North East of Nuneaton have been asked to make payments toward the building and start-up costs.

Around 2018, the project had been progressing with Keith attending site visits to the site with NHS architects. Keith has been attending public meetings of the various local NHS boards that ran primary care, since 2012. The last reorganisation moved control to the dreadful Integrated care board. This body only meets virtually and banned Keith from speaking directly to the meeting after the plans for our GP surgery were downgraded.
Keith has complained and obtained some of the reports under the Freedom of Information Act (see extract below). We have a big battle to get the capacity we nee
